Marie North, Senior Consultant

Marie North brings several years of high-level accounting and financial reporting experience, ranging from external audit in a top-tier public accounting firm to preparing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings for a publicly held Fortune 500 company. She has extensive knowledge of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations for public company filings and has participated in several financial transactions, including initial and secondary public offerings, from both the external audit and private industry perspectives. She has experience in the preparation of a variety of structured and ad hoc financial reporting analysis for executive management and board of director audiences. She has performed accounting research related to various accounting issues and is able to assess the applicability of new accounting standards and the relevance to current business environments.

Most recently, Marie assisted in the execution of a tax-exempt bond transaction on behalf of a private school, managing the details of the final information requests and the organization of supporting documentation, including capital campaign pledge analysis and construction documents. She performed extensive follow up services to ensure the proper recording of the bond transaction and the ongoing construction accounting in the entity’s financial statements.
